About

Company

All senior members of our permanent team have in-depth experience as regulators, coupled with broad finance sector experience.

We specialise in helping clients to enhance their compliance and risk management functions and to address specific regulatory issues. We assist our private sector clients to meet regulatory requirements in a cost-effective manner, using our experience to find practical solutions tailored to each client's business and requirements.

We are based in St Peter Port, Guernsey, but work with clients in a variety of locations. LMRR is a Corporate Member of the International Compliance Association.

History

Chris Le Marchant founded Le Marchant Regulatory Risk Services, initially as a sole trader in 2007.  From the outset he experienced strong demand for high quality regulatory and compliance consultancy services so in 2011 he incorporated LMRR Limited and started recruiting like-minded people with strong regulatory and commercial experience.

Stephen Trevor joined LMRR in 2012 as a director and shareholder.

Corporate social responsibility

LMRR has a strong sense of social responsibility which goes hand-in-hand with our objective to assist firms to comply fully with regulatory requirements.

To date we have supported:

Safer LBG

safer.gg

We marked our 10 years in business with a donation to local charity Safer LBG. This enabled the charity to recruit a part-time employee to assist the Children and Young Person Independent Advisor in supporting school children who have witnessed or been subjected to domestic abuse.

LMRRowers

In 2017, as part of LMRR’s 10 year anniversary celebrations, we sponsored a coxed-four mixed rowing team for the 2017 season. We supported the team again in 2018. Our sponsorship paid for the boat to be repainted and for team kit and other equipment.

2012 Junior Commonwealth Fencing Championships

LMRR sponsored the Guernsey épée team for the 2012 Junior Commonwealth Fencing Championships, helping to pay for coaches’ travel and specialist kit required for international tournaments.  Guernsey épéeists performed well with the woman’s team obtaining a bronze medal and all fencers experiencing a major international tournament and the satisfaction of qualifying to fence for their Island.
