Sarah first came to Guernsey in 2004 from the UK and started with Bougourd Ford as an administrator before becoming a Sales Account Manager for the wholesale fleet department. She was responsible for managing UK clients for both the Guernsey and Jersey office.
In July 2010 she moved into finance with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission as a Fiduciary Analyst and was involved in planning and conducting onsite visits, feedback meetings and enforcement investigations. She was responsible for the regulatory supervision of a range of firms in the fiduciary sector and gained experience processing licence applications and exemptions.
In 2014, an internal move to the Risk Unit started Sarah’s key involvement in the integration, configuration and rollout of PRISM, the new supervisory framework adopted by the Commission. Her knowledge of the system, along with her supervisory experience, provided valuable input into internal processes for integrating risk based supervision and PRISM for all supervisors.
In March 2016 she was promoted to Senior Analyst and managed various software releases to refine PRISM and provided system training to all GFSC employees. Sarah’s most recent project, in 2018, was assisting with the development and delivery of a PRISM module for a new area of supervision. Sarah has experience in all aspects of integrating software systems for business users from specification review, gap analysis, bug reporting, user acceptance testing and writing release notes to system training.
Sarah completed the STEP Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management in 2011, and in February 2017 the CISI certificate Risk in Financial Services, both with merit. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Sarah joined LMRR in September 2018.
